A contraindication is a factor that renders the administration of a drug or the carrying out of a medical procedure inadvisable. The FDA, CDC, AAP, and manufacturers all list contraindications to vaccines. From a cold to pregnancy to diabetes and asthma… many common illnesses are contraindicated. Yet, physicians still vaccinate those individuals.
